Witnesses From Las Vegas to Ventura See Unexplained Bright UFO Flying Across Sky
Dozens of people from Las Vegas to Ventura posted videos on social media Tuesday evening showing what appeared to be a bright light moving across the sky.
It was not immediately clear what the light was, or if it was connected to the Geminid meteor shower.
The meteor shower began Dec. 13 and would last about two weeks, CNN reports, but it was expected to peak in the first couple days.
Vandenberg Air Force Base confirmed there were no scheduled operations Tuesday night, said Larry Hill, chief of communications.
A Federal Aviation Administration spokesman also said they were unaware of what had occurred.
The incident seemed similar to one on Nov. 7, when hundreds of people reported seeing an unexplained moving object in the sky.
The light ended up being an unarmed missile test-fired by the U.S. Navy.
