Local estimates still show that waves will arrive in California by about 4:46 a.m. in Newport Beach and arrive a minute later in the Port of Los Angeles. Signs of the end times?  Apocalyptic tendrils reaching out across an unseasonably dry summer?  A massive hailstorm struck Mexico Aug. 30, leaving 4 dead. and dozens injured.
